“As I understand it, a lot of people made a lot of money using what they learned at Trump U.”

Are you sure Trump University was actually a university? I am under the impression that Trump dumped the word “university” from the title when he was challenged.

If “Trump University” wasn't actually a university he really should not have claimed and sold it as such. Students who were damaged by any false claim should be made whole.

The Donald drove Trump University into the ground. Now he wants to do it to America.

You obviously miss the point.

What you see is what you get, does not apply to Trump. I don’t believe him at his word. If you do, that’s great. But I don’t. I believe there is a “fine print” there, underneath all his grand standing and hyperbole...that people are not seeing, nor are they even trying to, that makes him dangerous for our country, for our constitution and for the Republican party.

You can sign onto that agreement without reading the fine print, but I see it for what it is, and I’m not signing that contract.

The question is did Trump fraudulently advertise what the University did. Supposedly he said he would handpick the instructors and that didn’t happen.

The other issue is you’re throwing away an advantage over Hillary. Trump can’t say Hillary’s under investigation for her e-mails when she can just come back and say he’s being sued for his university.

You don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to what makes someone “presidential”, if you support Trump.

” He’s a scam-artist magnifique.”

You mean he has scammed all these brilliant bankers and businessmen all over the world for about forty years? They were so trusting and so stupid he played them all that time and built a billions of dollars empire? And all those buildings, etc, are Hollywood type props?

You have no clue, only unreasoning Trump hatred.

When you finish a course, it’s a little different than backing a person who then changes.

It’s a course. It was good or it wasn’t.

I don’t think people were forced to fill out the card favorably and then sign it.

The NY AG lawsuit had this to say.

"Trump University instructors also asked that students complete evaluations in order to receive their Certificates of Competition for the course and 'pleaded for a favorable rating so that 'Mr. Trump would invite [them] back to do other retreats.' Mentors compelled students to complete the non-anonymous evaluations in their presence, filled out the forms themselves or pressured students into giving them higher scores or completing the evaluations before they had an opportunity to see if Trump University's promises would be fulfilled."

I wonder if Jefferson had U.V.A. dissatisfaction when he ran for office.

You obviously miss the point. Anyone who signs a contract of any importance without reading the fine print, which is written in legalese to discourage its reading, is an idiot.

Have you ever tried to read a bill voted on and passed by your obviously trusted representatives in Congress?

And furthermore, of course, anyone is an idiot who places credence in a class action lawsuit, at zero cost to the plaintiffs, initiated by lawyers against someone with deep pockets.

And yet some people go through those courses and truly conquer their world.

There are go-getters and laggards.

That’s life.

See post 70 about that supposed 98% and how they got it. According the lawsuit.

It is obvious that it was a scam.

So is $250,00 for a Gender Studies degree that leads to NO JOB! Should we, the taxpayers who funded the loan, now file suit against the ripoff universities who peddle these worthless degrees.

What you see is what you get, does not apply to Trump.

And you think what you see is what you get with Ted Terrific?

Have a look at his resume and his voting record. Yes, he won a couple of important cases in the SCOTUS. Look at he an his wife on CFR and open borders and "free" trade. There's a lot lurking under the surface.

It was basically a DBA.

They said change the name and he did. It wasn't a University. It wasn't a school. It was a series of lectures/seminars/classes...

I go to them all the time because NYS forces me to in order to keep my professional license. NYS Ed promise I will be better for it. So at 72, I'm still going to school. It's all BS and the courses are worthless.

If you thought it was a credited University, you’re too dumb to start with. No one has ever claimed that.

“It’s a course. It was good or it wasn’t.”

By the same measure, it is either a university or it is not. In the case of Trump University, it was not a university.

Students who were damaged by the false claim should be made whole.

They said change the name and he did.

Not exactly true, first Trump moved their home location to buy them some more time before changing the name.
