What makes you think that everyone currently favoring Rubio and Kasich are going to swarm to Cruz? Some will, but some will go to Trump and some will just stay home.

The pious believe among Cruz supporters that all of Rubio/Kasich's voters will go to Cruz is absurd on its face.

I think there's a pretty good chance most of them will stay home.  I know some Rubio supporters who can't stand either Trump or Cruz for one reason or another.
