Mr. Trump, please come to LaGrange, Georgia. John Kennedy did, and so should you.

On October 10, 1960, just four weeks before the presidential election, John Kennedy flew into little Calloway-LaGrange airport. He gave a speech on the tarmac.

From there the motorcade drove to The Little White House, the vacation home of FDR, where he gave another speech.

On the way back to the airport, the motorcade detoured through Main Street in downtown LaGrange, population 23,000, with Kennedy perched on the back of a yellow convertible.

LaGrange, Georgia

Our town now has 35,000 people, and there’s 69,000 in Troup County. We have a brand new outdoor amphitheater, Sweetland, that will have Willie Nelson the opening act in May of this year. The theater would be a perfect venue for you to speak at.

Our West Georgia Medical Center, is considered the best in the state, and we have KIA Motors where 3500 are employed, along with Caterpillar, Kimberly-Clark and Duracel.

The Statue of The Marquis de Lafayette, who helped us win the Revolutionary War, is in one of the prettiest squares in America.

We’re 50 miles from Atlanta, 35 miles from Columbus and just ten minutes from the Alabama state line on the way to Auburn. You can come down in your helicopter. And here’s Main Street, where John Kennedy drove down on October 10, 1960.

Most importantly, we love you here! So please come!

I’m starting a General Chat column that asks fellow Freepers to post photos of their hometown and a few words that invites Donald Trump to visit.

Its a nice thought. But you will not see him until the General, if he is the nominee.

Please come to Athens Tennessee in McMinn County. This little town is known as The Friendly City. It is also the site of The Battle of Athens. Mr. Trump won the primary here with a huge percentage of the vote over Cruz even though it's population is mostly Evangelical.

We know what it's like to stand up for freedom and our rights against a corrupt government.

"On 2 August 1946, some Americans, brutalized by their county government, used armed force to overturn it. These Americans wanted honest, open elections. For years they had asked for state or Federal election monitors to prevent vote fraud -- forged ballots, secret ballot counts, and intimidation by armed sheriff's deputies -- by the local political boss. They got no help."

The Battle of Athens

History seems to be repeating itself.

Sorry the picture is so big but any smaller and it was hard to read the sign.

I think he should go to your town. Very nice pics.

As much as I would love to have Trump come to my hometown I doubt he will ever set foot in rural Oregon. Maybe Portland.
Although Obama did come close when he came to Roseburg Oregon because of the shootings at the college,
I made the trek to Protest Obama’s visit. Great fun.

Yes, he came a month after I posted that! Trump came to Eugene Oregon about 90 miles from me.

He was even better in person!
