Predictions of doom for the Republican Party are all the rage in the media, but the real story of this election cycle (so far) is the collapse of Democrat turnout. Some of this is no doubt due to the difficulty in generating enthusiasm after more than 7 years of foreign policy disasters and historically low economic growth under Obama. Another factor is the sheer unappealing nature of Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is the sole person in the party capable of generating excitement, playing to the far left wing and youth after freebies (and so badly educated by the leftist educational establishment that they do not understand the disaster that socialism brings). But even Bernie’s enthusiastic crowds may be driving away more moderate Democrats.
Two analysts, Michael Barone (here and here) and the Huffington Post’s Zach Carter, have pulled together what ought to scare the pantsuit off Hillary. (OK, sorry, that’s an image that won’t go away quickly enough.)
Consider the South Carolina Dem Primary.
Democrats in 2016 are only getting about two-thirds of the primary votes that they received eight years ago.
Republican turnout in the South Carolina primary, by contrast, was up more than 70 percent from 2008.
South Carolina's turnout numbers are not an anomaly. They're consistent with other primaries to date. Republicans are psyched. Democrats are demoralized.

I think the low turnout is because most democrats would be happy enough with either of their candidates. Many undecideds and many Anybody-But-A-Republicans. We shouldn’t be lulled into thinking fewer democrats now means fewer in November.

Did you see Hillary’s BIG rally in Springfield yesterday? It looked like less than a few dozen Dems in the crowd.
It’s not enough to ‘demoralize’ them, they need to be destroyed into obscurity and a footnote in the annals of American history.
One is a downright crook, the other a socialist - either is not just a bad choice but equates to the hardship and ruining of the USA. 40 years ago, both would have been laughed off the stage by DEMOCRATS themselves.

This is going to be a wave election for us if the GOPe doesn’t screw it up. We need to be finding good down ticket candidates. We need to be fighting in blue areas and purple areas. Then, after the election, we need to start defunding the left so they can’t get bak up.

Here’s the thing: if Democrats want to vote in Republican primaries in some States they have to be registered as Republicans, right?
So why hasn’t everyone been talking as if this is their version of Operation: Chaos (per Limbaugh) where they cross over, vote in primaries for those they consider loons, and then vote for Democrats come general election time?

I don’t fall for the BS that Hitlery would easily defeat Trump. As you say, he is giving people an option and he will attract a lot of blue collar Dems.
