Yeah, but do they taste like dolphin?

The early Spanish explorers to the new world rigidly observed the dietary strictures of the Catholic Church at the time, which included no terrestrial meats on Friday. Manatee were recorded in some journals as the fish that tasted like beef.

Very interesting! I figured they had to be pretty tasty or they’d be extinct like dinosaurs — I understand they tasted terrible!
