Calling Robert Mugabe "dear father," ''his royal highness," and "the Moses of Africa" members of Zimbabwe's ruling party reasserted their loyalty to the longtime leader at the celebration of his recent 92nd birthday.

By bus, truck and on foot, thousands of Zimbabweans wearing the colors of the ruling ZANU-PF party made their way to the normally sleepy southeastern city of Masvingo to mark Mugabe's birthday.

Just eight months ago he read the WRONG SPEECH on TV.

Some political aide handed him the wrong one and he didn’t even notice.

Everyone in the audience noticed after just 10 seconds but he ran through the entire thing not knowing it.

Well, Mugabe got awarded the Confucius Peace Prize last year, so that’s an indication of how close they are already.

I just spent 10 days in South Africa. One of our drivers was a white Afrikaner with whom we got to talk during a five hour drive to a national park. The stories he told about what's happening to white farmers in South Africa (many of whom are Afrikaners) were nauseating.A lot like Zimbabwe but with little press coverage.

Yes; the press clams up about that tragedy. But eventually the lid will not stay on.

Next October 1st Zimbabweans can celebrate Jimmy Carter’s 92nd birthday, in gratitude for seeing to it that Mugabe became their leader.
