It has been on space weather.com for a few weeks. .o44 lunar distance is roughly 10000 miles. I wonder what the margin of error is..... 11000 miles? 60% chance it will hit water if it hits.

Not me. If more people hyped the concept, the 'end of the world' set would be out there baying at the moon, looting, committing all sorts of crimes before the end, whether it came or not.

This would not be an ELE, although an impact could be a serious smack depending on where it hit, angle of impact, etc.--or just a very big splash in the ocean somewhere with some resultant large (tsunami-like) wave activity afterward.

That would not stop the civil unrest from happening, and likely as many or more lives would be lost to that or panic than an ocean or remote area impact.
