So socialism does stink after all?
“Seriously, going a day without deodorant or even your favorite lipstick is hard to imagine. Hopefully they get this issue sorted out soon.”
Oh come on, I went a week without showering or shaving or deodorant of anything else. Finally got something done at work.
Just kidding, I was alone in an apartment...took one shower, did it again for a week. It’s actually not so bad, and humans did that on a regular basis even 100 years ago.
Sanders has said that no one needs a number of different deodorants.
Stink all around, comrades.
USA under Bernie Sanders
“Sanders has said that no one needs a number of different deodorants...Stink all around, comrades.”
Heck, I only use one. But I do have a lifetime supply of it (along with most other non-perishables). Short of sending the Brownshirts to my house, Sanders will NEVER stop me from using it.
My grandson finds it difficult to believe that we only used to take one true bath a week on Saturday night, although we used to take what my mom called spit baths every day. As the youngest, water was pretty murky but the time it was my turn. We also only washed our hair once a week until well into the 1960’s. During the big hair days used to wrap it in toilet paper at night to preserve the style.
As I remember, we survived quite well and I don’t recall that anyone around me had body odor.
Am amused by all the greenies running around trying to preserve our resources. At least it wasn’t my generation that wasted water, had to have 19 kinds of shampoo or crammed the landfills with all this use once and then throw away, like diapers and food storage containers.
But their government has plenty of money by weapons with and to keep the ruling elite in a Clintonesque lifestyle.
There was a movie about this about 35 years ago.
“Network”??
Actually, my beautician has advised washing hair once a week for years. Overwashing strips out the oils and damages hair.
A couple of years ago, we did a bathroom remodel. No shower for three weeks. We did laundry sink washes of pits and parts, washed hair in the sink weekly and survived. I hated it, but we had to gut the room and totally level the floor and DH did it all himself, while continuing to work, so it took a long time.
As for deodorant and shampoo, baking soda works for underarms. I suppose soap would work for hair, but it would need a vinegar rinse and an oil treatment afterward. Right now there is a no ‘poo movement that shuns shampoo, so there must be alternatives. of course, with socialism, there might not be baking soda, vinegar or oil, either.
There’s a difference between choosing a lifestyle or having lived in an earlier time and being forced into rationing in the present due to governmental ineptness. People in Venz had a modern lifestyle and they have had it ripped away while knowing it still exists in other parts of the world. I suppose they can’t rebel until they have the military on their side.
