Shocking to see so many on this supposedly conservative forum willing to overlook the filthy, vulgar language of their new "savior". I cannot remember another candidate, GOP, Democrat, or Independent, who used such language - and who savagely attacked his fellow GOP primary opponents with all the panache of a surly high school bully.

I am against the GOPe establishment as much as anyone here, but why show such close-minded, unthinking worship of this loose cannon when we have principled conservatives like Cruz - someone with a proven record of actually standing up to the GOPe establishment - which DESPISES him because he opposed them in the Senate!

Have you not seen the countless threads where many FReepers would be happy to proudly vote for Senator Ted Cruz or Donald Trump because they like BOTH candidates? Either of them will do a superb job...and clearly WAY better than Secretary of State Clinton or Senator Sanders.

Meek and gentle apparently does not "bring home the bacon" when it comes to POTUS elections. We got slammed in 2008 when our great candidate Governor Palin got saddled with that RINO Senator McCain. Then to the disaster of 2012 with the RINO tag-team of Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan

This time around I like the brash style of both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. Many FReepers won't cast any insults on either of these two POTUS candidates. We can leave that work for the mainstream media. Go Ted! Go Donald!

Conveniently omitted from that story always is that Rosie STARTED it by attacking Donald's children in the wake of the beauty pageant controversy about 2006.

I don't know what you expect of a man or the father of your children, but he didn't let it stand and take it like a nancy-boy cuckold like all these Cruzers and politically correct wussies. He gave it right back to Rosie in spades. I won't repeat what Rosie said to start it because it was too disgusting and frankly stupid but was a direct low-class insult of his children, suggesting they were somehow illegitimate. Rosie learned the hard way not to mess with loving fathers who are real men. Dykes need to stick to the extreme level of violence that is epidemic among lesbians. They don't scare real men. (Though real men scare nancy boy males like we see on FR constantly, as they get so scared they leak a bit and need to get those things from TV commercials where women wear apparel or aids for when a little pee gets out.)

I agree. It’s an amazing accomplishment that Trump has marginalized the best candidate and, if nominated, guaranteed a Democrat win. Who would have thought so many people would be bamboozled by a buffoon.

I lived in Atlanta during the Marla Maples affair, when we were treated to nightly “Are they? Is she? Will he?” newscasts. I felt sorry for his wife.

Cruz is my first choice, but if you are saying that Trump singlehandedly marginalized him and will lose to Hillary, what does that say about Cruz?

He can’t beat Trump who can’t beat Hillary, but he can beat Hillary? Me thinks someone is a bit confused.

I disagree. Each electorate has different voting groups and at least one other consideration. For instance, Trump, despite being the big favorite in polls with Republicans at consistently around 35%, is losing 65% of the Republican votes. Trump's support seems firm but not expanding. One big reason the-other-than-Trump vote is not bigger is because five or more other candidates are splitting that vote. Trump supporters assume that as the field narrows he'll start to gain even more of that 65%. I doubt that because of the sheer nastiness of Trump and his flagrant dilettantism. But if the field stays crowded he could obviously win based on his solid support.

The electorate and pool of voters in the general election is very different. We all know this. It may be then that Trump basically dumps the conservatives if he's the nominee as he moves to the middle to expand his voters. If all that matters is winning, he could easily betray the recently adopted principles he barely knows now. Otherwise, he's not a very strong candidate as he's become a man who is either considered a joke or someone to loath among the vast majority of Americans. He is, I think, well known, so he has that advantage. But he's harmed his brand with his temperament, demeanor, wild statements, in-your-face behavior, etc. More later ....

Well, when we get rid of the hangers on like JEB!, Carson and Kasich, we’ll know for sure.

Hold on for Super Tuesday.
