Vanity: Now is the time to unite
I Corinthians 1:10 ^ | 2/13/16 | self

1 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV)

10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

KEYWORDS: unite
Not saying here to pick one candidate now and agree on him. But as several of the candidates have said during the debates, better any one of our candidates than any one of theirs.

The tone here has gotten divisive and worse. We will never agree on everything, and that is a good thing. But when the dust clears, let's all get behind our candidate with all our heart and might and soul and strength. And let's tone down the rhetoric, and pull the wagon in (mostly) the same direction.

I think Justice Scalia would want it to be that way.

Carry on.

Serious misuse of Scripture for political gain (like Cruz does). This verse is about doctrine (minor ones) not politics.

The lack of proper Biblical theology and usage is astounding.

It’s a shame you feel that way, honestly. Hopefully there are enough crossover votes that will make up for people who feel as you do, and we can avoid a President Clinton or Sanders. I will certainly vote for Cruz to avoid that, even though he is not my first choice.

I’m not trying to stir the pot, I just pray that come election time, you will reconsider.

There won't be any uniting until Trump or Cruz is nominated, and in some cases, not even then.

All I can say is, buckle up.

...or hide and watch.

Never. And neither will my wife, my parents, my sister or her husband, my best friend, and half a dozen other close friends. We will never vote for Trump. We are not fooled.

Then that’s a dozen votes for Bernie that will stand unopposed.
Falling to vote helps the opposition.

Nice thoughts, but ....

Here’s one of Trump’s latest tweets:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 6m6 minutes ago

Nasty Ted Cruz is at it again- same dirty tricks he used w/ @RealBenCarson- saying I may not be on ballot & I hold liberal positions. LIES!

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump

And then right after that one, he puts up this one:

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 8m8 minutes ago

Ted Cruz is a cheater! He holds the Bible high and then lies and misrepresents the facts!

I’m afraid this is going to be a war for awhile anyway.

That’s a sh!tty argument. Trump or Bernie - either way, conservative principles will not be upheld. I won’t vote for either, so I will not actively participate in the betrayal of conservatism.

You go ahead, sheep.

An election works by votes neutralizing opposing votes; whoever has unopposed votes remaining wins. If you don’t vote, you’re leaving an opposing vote unopposed.

If you don’t vote, you’re giving the candidate you like less an advantage.
You may despise Trump, but enough that you’d rather have Bernie?

Hopefully Trump wins or Hillary/Sanders take over. Not sure who has a better chance. Lukewarm on Cruz’s chances.

Bernie or Trump. No difference. Both will screw conservatives.

I’ll write in Cruz in good conscience.
