I've only been to New Zealand as a layover, but always wanted to go back. Australia was a great place too with incredibly friendly people. Probably closer to us cultural/temperamentally than any other nation.

And there's always a girl, isn't there?

Never been Down Under, but worked with the Aussies on a couple of exercises during my Air Force days. Great folks.

My favorite story involving the RAAF involves their participation in an exercise at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho back in the 90s (a friend was part of the intel contingent at the base). An RAAF C-130 taxied in, carrying support troops and equipment. After their airmen deplaned, the next thing off the Herk was multiple pallets of Foster’s.

As always, the Aussies had their priorities in order.
