Soon after Hillary Clinton became secretary of State, The Atlanticâs then politics editor Marc Ambinder was fishing around for an early look at a speech she was going to give to the Council on Foreign Relations.
Clintonâs spokesman, Philippe Reines, said fine, but added three conditions.

What’s that? Pimp blogs?
How is IBD a blog?
Whatever it is, the poster is certainly pimping it.
The writer did a valuable job of exposing this cesspool the liberals play in. But then he wastes his effort with his cowardly last line:
“Itâs too bad Ambinder doesnât have the guts, or the awareness, to admit it.”
Why give a Constitution-perverting lib like Ambinder an out by saying he isn’t aware of what he was doing?
Just say that the creature doesn’t have the guts to admit he is a running dog for the socialist totalitarians.
It is a real newspaper that you can buy on any newsstand in NYC. It is generally more conservative than the WSJ. Considering the publications that allow link only, I have no problem with an excerpt being posted.
Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) is an American weekday newspaper covering international business, finance, and economics. Founded in 1984 by William O’Neil, its headquarters are in Los Angeles, California.

That doesn’t change the fact that the poster is pimping it here.
The writer is pimping his own stuff. He doesn’t have to excerpt his own stuff.

He might , I don’t know what his contract with IBD requires...
And FWIW IBD was absolutely the best investment paper around , until the FED started manipulating the markets and threw honest price discovery out the window.
When the WSJ did their professional picks vs. monkeys with darts ,, the monkeys were throwing darts at “Your Weekend Review” from IBD ... The monkeys only lost on rare occasions.
Would it be informative to look at the posting rules?

LOL!
He does open the door.
From his homepage.
“I write IBD editorials in Los Angeles, love Free Republic, and welcome any feedback on our stuff, positive or negative.”
But he is a Californian?
:)
It would be informative if IBD would post articles instead of click bait and stop taking advantage FR donations for free advertising purposes. IBD can damn well post full articles since it owns the copyright and I can call them out for blog pimping.
He loves feedback, huh? Maybe I’ll just send him some.
A little pimpin’ is not always a bad thing — it’s the American Way. The substance of the article exposes the corrupt media game in action. I applaud Merline for writing it up, promulgating it, and making it available to FR readers. If giving him a hit on his site was the price, it was a bargain. No one is forced to click the link.
Hillary handler Phillipe Reines is the real PIMP in this story. As a public employee, he sold access to his ho for the price of pro-Hillary propaganda the Atlantic’s journ-o-list put in his article verbatim. We all know these are sleazy bastids, but specific evidence is valuable becuase it usually stays buried.
My main problem with our IBD Freeper is that he only posts articles, and never comments on anything. It’s not like he goes into any sort of discussion with anyone about the pros or cons of his work. So it seems to me he really is blog pimping.
IBD-EW seems only interested in getting clicks to his articles. He never responds to anyone’s comments, so his claim that he welcomes feedback seems disingenuous and deceitful. I would like to see him engage in discussion of his work, if he thinks it’s so great that we should read it.
Care to comment, IBD-EW? It would be your first ever on FR.
You’re a little out of bounds on this one.
If I may, since being included say?
As a writer he is PAID for his words and may receive a couple of cents per reading of that article.
With that in mind, if he posts a lot of *unpaid* words here compensation for those words is lost. Not to mention he may have a contract that prohibits response. Only posting a portion of his work maybe allowed.
Have seen others and made a comment re: the practice of posting a full article and portions and not replying about it. We do not know the circumstance in this case,
But understand your thinking and encourage an exchange or dialogue.
Never hurts to ask! He shouldn’t kill you for asking.
Additionally, there are other writers who do post and interact!
Would be helpful to know.
