I'll probably keep Windows 7 on our desktop until it drops dead. I MAY try Windows 10 on one of our 8.1 laptops before the free period ends, but I'm leaning toward leaving them alone.

In my golden years, change has become more and more difficult, lol.

I tried Windows 10 and I did not like it. It caused me a lot of trouble and I ended up having to reload the entire system from the factory install backup discs. At least I now have a good clean Windows 7 system again. I probably was going to have to reload the system at some point so I am not begrudging Microsoft for trying to give me a free replacement system.

Had 7 on my 5+yr old laptop and 10 on the new one and zero problems with either. Happy happy joy joy remembering the fun flogging win3.1 and 95 along on a daily basis sometimes!

I switched to Apple 5 Years ago. I'll never own a Microsoft P.O.S. again.

I expect to get flamed but my MACS startup and just work and do what I want without constant software updates and security issues.

A free OS that barely is doing better then Windows XP......

My darned PC keeps giving me that “install W-10 now” icon, but hearing all the horror stories (and seeing few positive ones) about it makes me very hesitant.
