In the latest development in the Johnny Manziel saga, his agent released a statement Friday saying he is cutting ties with the Cleveland Browns quarterback.
"It is with deep regret that, after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel," agent Erik Burkhardt said in a statement.

Kindda sad to watch him spiral out of control like this.
Maybe Johnny can hang with Todd Marinovich and Ryan Leaf...
Yep. This is really bad. Was hoping the guy would pull it together.
Having the guy sit on the sidelines was the worst thing in his case. Many men will use that time to learn, observe, practice and prepare. In his case, it left more time to screw around. I wonder if things would have been different if he was working all last year on game prep instead of clipboard holding. Its not like the other guys were any good either. Let your 1st round pick play and prove himself. He was decent in the few chances he got. Nothing spectacular but some good play at times. I don’t get drafting someone not to play.
Johnny Football now Johnny Screwball.
Watch for the possibility Manziel will be ordered into a rehab facility by court order for psychiatric reasons.
Browns fan here. Not a fan of Manziel. Was ticked the Browns wasted a choice draft pick on a player I knew wasn’t a good fit.
BUT...I hope he gets the help he needs. Psychiatric and substance abuse, both.
The Cowboys aren’t the team with a rapist at QB.
I’ve been a Brown’s fan since 1960. I gave on them when they signed Johnny Football.
Wow! You’ve really hit bottom when the Cowboys won’t take you because of off the field problems. Like it wasn’t bad enough that his agent dumped him.
I predict Chip Kelly will trade kaepernick to the Jets and sign Manziel to run his offense.
And drinking buddy.
Jerry’s got to be in tears over this, what could’ve been.
The Niners didn’t give him the same personnel decision-making authority that the Eagles did, did they? Boy, would that be stupid.
Sounds like his (former) agent and the Cowboys know something that hasn’t hit the press yet.
Roethlisberger turned it around.....hopefully Manziel can get the help he needs.
Playing or not playing in the NFL made no difference. Manziel needed a tow truck to pull his head out of his ass a long time ago. When he got to the NFL he had the money and lack of adult supervision to fully develop into what he always wanted to be.
He’s a lost soul.
