We used to use only cash but quit and now once a month we buy a gift card to cover groceries, gas and a very limited amount for spending money. Not only do we receive an extra discount on my gas, we don’t spend more than is in my budget for these items and if someone takes our card info, they will not be getting much.
I keep my credit cards maxxed out. If they get them, they still can’t buy anything. ;^)
That’s funny. Bet some enterprising thieves could still apply for others in your name and receive them.
Find these people and hang them in the public square.
Freeze your credit. Easy to do and not much of a hassle to allow access when you need to.

Thanks for the link. We quit using credit cards a couple of years ago. We do regularly check our credit report to make sure no one has pirated our info and check our bank accounts daily but may just go ahead and put a freeze on our credit. Certainly won’t hurt.
