My grandfather was with Sousa’s band. Even went to San Juan with Teddy Roosevelt’s Expeditionary Force.
He wanted Stars and Stripes Forever played at his funeral. He got his wish.

My high school band director had formerly played the French horn in Sousa's band. We had a lot of Sousa marches in our repertoire.
