I used to teach aerobics.
Every once in a while I would bring in a Sousa march. It was a great warm-up and NO ONE could resist that music!

FABulous stuff.

March 1985 was pretty nice. March 2009 sucked.

Lights Out March by Earl McCoy (1906), which is based on the bugle call "Taps," belongs on that list.

Fans of the Stanford Indians, the 2016 Rose Bowl champs, will be happy that The New Colonial March, their football song, made the list.

I may have missed it on the list, but one of my favorite march tunes is “Old 1812”. It is also known by a different title, “Welcome Home Again”. You may not recognize the titles, but if you have ever watched the movie, “The Outlaw Josey Wales”, then you have heard it. Most Civil War re-enactment musicians play it.

Thanks for posting. Way back when I was in 5th or 6th grade (1961 or 1962 or so), our music teacher had us learn the official songs of all the armed forces branches as well as When Johnny Comes Marching Home, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, Dixie, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Yankee Doodle and others. I still remember many of the tunes and lyrics.

That was a great era before the leftists grabbed hold of all our institutions and ruined them.
