A shoplifting suspect is in custody after allegedly stealing an unoccupied Springettsbury Township police car on Monday, according to township police.
Marlo Harvard Jr., 21, Baltimore, is charged with theft by unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking of a firearm, retail theft, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding police, as well as summary traffic offenses, according to a press release.

Not a bright move....by the perp...nor by the cops who allowed it.
That settles it, crooks who want to steal a gun have to fill out a form and wait 7 days before they may take possession of the firearm.
Well they do always leave the car running when they get to a scene.
