The California mom who stabbed her three young daughters to death with a kitchen knife was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Monday.
Carol Ann Coronado, 32, was found covered in blood on a bed beside her lifeless children inside their working-class house south of LAX Airport on May 20, 2014.
She killed 2-year-old Sophia, 16-month-old Yazmine and 2-month-old Xenia before injuring herself with self-inflicted stab wounds, prosecutors said.

How many years before a person given a “life sentence” in California is eligible for parole?
I don’t know the answer to that but according to the article, the lawyer plans to appeal.

Two women’s advocates also spoke during the proceeding, asking the judge to reconsider. Joy Burkhard, director of 2020 Mom, said she believed Coronado suffered from psychosis and was never treated.

Poor kids, lost the mom lottery, sad.
Life in prison for mom and the sick thing is that we have a soft spot in our judicial system for mommies that kill their children.
Andreia Yates, Susan Smith and this woman and none got the Death Penalty.

Texas put Andrea Yates in the loony bin and not prison for murdering five of he children.
Texas was soft on Yates and California manned up and gave this Baby Killer life in prison.

I’m surprised they consider that a crime in California. If her lawyer had argued that ‘post-partum’ abortions was a women’s health issue and a civil right, she could have become the Left’s next cause celebre.
Look at the ages of the children. Sure has the hallmark of post parturition psychosis
California proves itself to be tougher on mom who murder their children than Texas.
She might do 15.
Life without parole.
She won’t see the light of day.
Sorry, there was a rumor that the Republik of Kalifornia routinely lets burglars, rapists, and murderers out early. I guess it's not true.
Darlie Routier got the death penalty for a very similar crime, including the self-inflicted knife wounds. But even in Texas, I think it’ll be along time before she faces justice.
I can’t understand how a mom can be so evil. If she did not want her children, so many people would have loved to adopt her children.
She was the exception.
For the moist part, these women that kill their kids get a break in the justice system.
Women killers cry and try the insane defense.
WHY, SHE’S A MOTHER WHO JUST LOST HER KIDS.
Nobody buys it with men, and don’t care even if they are.
It is a major weakness in our humanity to judge women so much lighter than men for the same horrible evil crimes.
I guess once she started stabbing herself she figured out "Hey, maybe this isn't such a good idea."
