What B.S. ‘crime’ would any serf be charged with upon doing the same? ‘Involuntary weapons transfer’
I mean, I know they got a ‘law’ to cover walking w/ one lace untied (what was it in Oregon? ‘Impeding an officials job’ or some crap?), they gotta have 1/2 book just for this kind of situation. /I wish

Wait a minute. In plain lauguage, are they saying a Deputy placed his rifle on top of the trunk of his car, ‘forgot’ it was up there and drove off w/o a care?
Holy Camolie! This may not be the job he was meant to be doing then.

No cop that I know carries an AR-15 as a service weapon....they are M-4’s. Selective fire.

When I was in the USAF Security Police I had a supervisor in 1983, a buck sergeant, who forgot his M-16, with a 30-round magazine inserted, left it back at the guardhouse at the alert fighter-interceptor area way on the other side of the airfield after our shift was over. We had driven several miles back to the armory when he realized his mistake. He was later caught for doing drugs and discharged.

Sheriff's officials in Orange County [California] on Wednesday were searching for an AR-15 patrol rifle... So it's an AR-15 'patrol rifle'. What happened to the term 'assault rifle'?

Outdoor writer Nash Buckingham lost his very rare Fox shotgun, nicknamed Bo Whoop, the same way in 1948. The gun was in it’s case and left on the fender of his car. It finally turned up in 2006 and was auctioned off for $175K in 2010. There were some skeptics that questioned the gun, but the details seemed to confirm it was Buckingham’s long lost gun.

When will the calls for Sheriff Hutchens to step down begin? First the jailbreak fiasco and now this. I mean the buck stops where, exactly?
To: BenLurkin
OK...I’ve done that with my morning coffee, but NEVER with an AR-15!

What if a lowly, peon citizen did this? Gun grabbers wpuld have the guy fined and jailed. Will the cop lose his job? Even a day’s pay? They would crucify Joe Citizen. No big deal if a trained cop does it though. Scared of legal gun owners and their guns. No fear of cops and theirs, and doing sh1t they’d flip out about if a noncop did it.
