Colorado Parks and Wildlife released video of officers assisting a bull moose whose antlers became tangled in the tops of a backyard swing.

The department posted a video to Facebook showing the trapped moose swinging back and forth on the rope while trying to avoid the officers in a Summit County backyard.

CPW said officers decided after several hours to subdue the moose with a Taser, as using tranquilizing drugs on a moose showing signs of stress could prove deadly for the animal.

The Taser stunned the moose for long enough to allow officers to cut the rope and free the moose, which angrily attempted to charge its rescuers before running off into the night.

The homeowner admitted to using salt in an attempt to attract moose to the yard. CPW said the homeowner was remorseful and officers decided not to issue a citation.

"The fact that they caused the moose to suffer like it did and putting the officers in such a dangerous situation is a clear example of how irresponsible attracting wildlife to your home or neighborhood can be," District Wildlife Manager Tom Davies told KMGH-TV.

This could also be “Colorado Offers Free Moose From Backyard Swing.”

But that better than: “Colorado Offs Free Moose From Backyard Swing.”
