I'm not sure what is worse: Donald Trump bragging about paying off politicians, or the cheering by Republican-debate audiences when Donald Trump brags about paying off politicians.
See, when I worked for the Justice Department, we didn't just indict the slimy pols - from both parties - on the receiving end. We also indicted the deep-pocketed cronies who greased their palms, expecting top-shelf service in return.
Even if you're not the queasy type, how nauseating to watch a crowd of people, many of whom would tell you they're strong law-and-order conservatives, giddily applauding as a guy confesses that he's the corrupter who makes the corruption work

Yup, although more to the progressives, to implement the very policies he now complains are destroying the country. And why? Trump's allocution continued: "You know what? When I need something from them, two years later, three years later, I call them, and they are there for me... And that's a broken system."
Well, yeah, when you spend years breaking something, it tends to get broken.

This is the same guy who crucifies Cruz over a personal loan secured with personal assets. Trump could have and should have done time for this.

They are reporting what Trump himself brags about all the time. This is a crime, but just as Trump also brags, his supporters wouldn’t care if he murdered people.
In New York City, bribery is just part of the “Art of the Deal”.

The point is so many are pissed off at the ‘broken system’, yes, but the crooked politicians are only half the corruption equation, the crooked special interests that buy them off are the other! So now he expects people to believe he`s had so epiphany and is no longer a crook?
This is only conformation that the man buy anyone out if the price is right, but the question should be will he also sell out to anyone if that price is right?

I don’t know, but perhaps President Cruz can get his Justice Dept. to conduct an investigation. :)
It has to be an exact quid-pro-quo and there has to be proof. Hell, even when there IS massive proof, most of the time NOTHING happens.

This is not a bribe... For it to be a bribe there must be a quid pro quo. Donating to a politician hoping to get favorable treatment in the future doesn’t make it for a bribe.
What about the vast amounts of money that Teddy not only accepts, but goes begging, hat in hand, to billionaires?

I want a pres who can cajole, bully, and bribe whoever it takes to shut down immigration. How’s that?
He is not a crook. He is using the only system available to him, albeit a crooked system at that. What is he supposed to do, let his competition best him to it? We know what happens to those who rail against the system from the outside, distruction!! But from the inside it can be dismantled.
So when Soros buys off politicians is it ok then? Or is it only ok when Trump does it?
Immigration can be taken care of without electing an admitted criminal.
