I adore Laurel And Hardy...almost as much as I adore Harpo and Chico Marx. Chico, pronounced Chicko because of his addiction to women, really was sexy despite the goofy costume..and he knew it. Harpo was simply a doll and very much in real life as you saw him on screen...but, no, he was not mute...had a broad New York accent.

There’s something funny about a fat guy and a skinny guy together. Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, Jackie Gleason and Art Carney, Moe and Curly Howard etc. etc. Not sure why that is but I think it’s true.

I used to watch March of the Wooden Soldiers every Christmas. It is a really funny movie.
Great comedy is timeless. Modern “comedy” is stale, obscene and unfunny. There is a humor famine in today’s Hollywood.
