What Ever Became of the Barrett Report
Vanity

Some years ago the Barrett report was concluded. A lot of it was redacted, but if I recall correctly, congress had full access to the report. Also, if I recall correctly, said congress could share the redacted info with the public.

If this is true, why is neither Cruz or Rubio using this info against Hilary. Does anyone else remember this?

Congresswhores won’t share with the public, might mean they actually have to DO something.
And that’s like doing actual work.

Had to look this up.

Fom Wiipedia

The Barrett Report is a 400-page report created by special prosecutor David Barrett. Initially tasked with investigating allegations of lying to the FBI against Henry Cisneros, Secretary of the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development under U.S. President Bill Clinton, the investigation eventually delved into allegations that President Clinton had used the U.S. Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service as political tools against American citizens.

Before the release of the report, three Democrat U.S. Senators, John Kerry, Dick Durbin and Byron Dorgan, forced the redaction of certain pages by attaching a rider to an unrelated appropriations bill.

Cisneros, a former San Antonio mayor, eventually pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of lying to the FBI. He paid a US$10,000 fine and was pardoned by President Clinton on Clinton's final day in office.

If those three wanted it cover up, it must be full of fun facts. Oh to have a free press that actually did investigative reporting.

From the “Way Back” file, in the era of Tony Snow - the release of this report, without redactions, was being “looked” into by Senator Grassley ... and then went into a hyper-dimension beyond all worldly recall.

Yes!

The court overseeing the special, independent prosecutor Barrett allowed that any member of Congress was able to release the report directly to the public by having it read into the Congressional Record.

No ifs, ands or buts ... I heard Senator Grassley emphatically promise Tony Snow on his radio show that he would have the Barrett Report released by having it read into the Congressional Record. And when Grassley was faced with actually having to fulfill his promise, he hemmed and hawed. Due to illness, Tony's had to leave his radio show and unfortunately died shortly thereafter.

I wrote to Tom DeLay multiple times just prior to his forced resignation from Congress. I asked that he have the Barrett Report read into the Congressional Record as he was forced out the door of the House. He never responded to my letters nor did he act on my request.

My only explanation for the collusion between the political parties in keeping the Barrett Report secret until this day is that the Report found damning evidence against both parties in the illegal use of the IRS for political purposes. Thus neither party wants it published.

"Someone" got to the Judge(s) involved in allowing all the redactions. "Someone" got to the Judge(s) to not directly release the Report to the public. Once the Report's release was given to the Congress, their "crooked" secret was safe.

To this day, not a single sitting member of Congress has stepped forward to expose the illegalities of the past.

All of this makes one feel good about the integrity of the Judiciary and our representatives in the House and Senate, doesn't it?
