A Las Vegas woman accused of brutally murdering a 10-year-old girl has accepted a plea deal.

Brenda Stokes Wilson agreed Thursday to plead guilty to first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, murder with a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon, and mayhem with the use of a deadly weapon.

Metro Police said 53-year-old Wilson killed Jade Morris in Dec. 2012. Police said Wilson picked Jade up on Friday, Dec. 21 to take her Christmas shopping.

I guess a young child's life doesn't matter.

Since 1973, women have been taught that it is their right to kill children. What reasonable person is surprised by women committing murder after 40+ years of this indoctrination?

Plea deal for what? She murdered a little girl!!! The only reasonable plea would be for her to tell all the details in exchange for a quick death, instead of handing her over to the kinsmen avengers. She has forfeited her life. To allow her to live makes the court an accessory to the crime.

While everyone vents their righteous rage, I’ll just put out the little reminder that plea deals are made to save the prosecutor’s office time and risk and expense, and to give the victim’s family swifter and surer justice, and save them the trauma of a long public trial. There is no shortage of stories where a brutal crime like this one ended in a light sentence or even no conviction, because of evidence collected or stored or examined incorrectly, for juries being swayed by slick attorneys, by the media getting involved, and 100 other reasons. Nobody here knows what sentence the prosecutor will now recommend (she gets sentenced March 9th), and yet hands are being thrown in the air in protest, as if an injustice has been done.

Because plea deals always get murderers off death sentences. That’s why.

Nevada hasn't got a good track record of either obtaining, or carrying out death sentences on female killers, at any rate. So, it was extremely unlikely that this *individual* would have received a death sentence which would be executed at all, let alone in a timely fashion, plea deal or not.

While I can understand the outrage, one must look reality square in the eye. US jurisprudence has had a rather lengthy period of squeamishness when it comes to "taking out the trash", if said "trash" is female.
