To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

Things have changed in 20 years. I expect solid support and some Hollywood tie ins. There’s a whole generation in LA that has never had their own team.

... and a good percentage of that “new generation” are soccer fans...

Seriously, I had a friend — rabid Steelers fan who relocated to LA — this was after the Rams left (and after the Raiders returned to The Bay). I asked him if he missed professional football. He pointed to his cable box and said, “I can watch 2 NFL games and still have the afternoon.” I guess that meant that it was just ‘entertainment’?

It really only makes sense for the Rams to be in LA because of the history. I think they would get by far the lions share of local support.
