A Boston police officer was shot in the leg Friday by a suspected drug dealer who jumped out of his car and started firing without provocation, an incident that ended moments later when the suspect was wrestled to the ground and arrested, officials said.
The officer, a nine-year veteran assigned to the drug unit at Area B-3 in Mattapan, was in the intensive care unit at Boston Medical Center but was expected to recover.

So now he gets rung up on attempted murder along with the various other charges and he goes away for a really long time. Hopefully he gets situated in the skinhead wing of the prison and gets an early release due to assumption of room temperature and a general horizontal disposition.
