He can’t grip the ball, but Alabama’s McCarron is the backup and he’s been doing exceptionally well so far. If the truth be told, McCarron has been under the big lights and huge crowds and national audiences as much or more than Dalton.

The only real question in my mind is if a McCarron victory will jeopardize Dalton’s job next year.

Big Ben Roethlisberger is hard to beat. One of the best QBs of our era, and he has some top notch receivers, although I think his tight ends are just so so.

I don't have a dog in this hunt.

Cinci has a much better defense, but McCarron hasn't shown himself to be a great QB, I seriously doubt he can be better than Dalton, who is (was) on the verge.

It's possible they squeek by, but I doubt it.

JMHO.
