Jets’ High Hopes End in Same Place: Out of the Playoffs

I’m not sure what I expected from the Jets on Sunday.

Honestly, not this: a devastating loss that not only kept them from securing a playoff berth that seemed sure a week ago but also raised as many questions as the last part of the season had seemed to answer.

Another epic J-E-T-S choke. So they beat the Patriots and I actually text my sister and her Boston husband. I knew in the back of my mind as a JETS fan that might be a mistake. Of course, the JETS never fail to disappoint and throw 3 4th quarter picks to lose the game and miss the playoffs.

As usual, they were not ready to play a football game. A complete failure all around including coaching.

I was afraid something like this would happen after the Jets’ organization treated Tebow so badly. I just hope this is not the kind of damage that will last for decades.

For a team that started the year with fist fights in the locker room and no legitimate starting QBs they had a really good year. You don’t fix the mess the Jets were in in one year. They’ve got a lot of learning to do, and still need some talent. But they seem to be on a good path.
