ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) A three year old girl who was taken in a stolen car was found by police early Sunday morning after hours of searching.
It all started at around 8:30 pm at the Smith's near Lomas and San Pedro. Police say the mother was filling up water jugs when a thief came up to the car and drove off with it. Three year old Caraline Leon-Alcocar was inside.
That car was found by officers at the Saver's near Carlisle and Menaul, but the little girl was not found with it, sparking an Amber Alert and a citywide search.
Caraline was found just after 1 a.m. in a parking lot near San Mateo and Indian School by Officer Chris Poccia. Officer Poccia says he was using a spot light to look for her when he noticed a bright purple ball on the ground.
In Poccia's lapel video you can see the officer run up to Caraline, who was crying, cold and by herself but okay otherwise. Poccia scooped up the little girl and put her in his cruiser to warm her up.
Caraline was reunited with her mother in the parking lot then taken to the hospital to be checked out. She is expected to be okay. Officers say she didn't say much at the hospital, but was content watching a Disney movie.
The man who took Caraline in the first place has not been found by police.

So glad this little girl was found. I ALWAYS lock my doors, even if getting gas. I can’t even imagine leaving the keys in the ignition.
One of the female motorcycle members is heard saying “Praise God” moments after the police officer finds her. The stories don’t mention the motorcycle club or their name but in the video you get a glimpse of their jackets.
Thank God the little one is safe.
Was name of club visible ....? I missed that part. Was listening more than watching after the baby girl was in the warm cruiser.....
Glad all is well..... now to catch the criminal and send him away for at least 20 years with no parole.
Not easily visible in the video, but the local news identified them as “Guardians of the Children.”
“Caraline was found just after 1 a.m. in a parking lot near San Mateo and Indian School”
It’s all good and find that they found the kid, but CONSIDER THE DAMAGE they are doing to Native Americans by allowing a road to STILL be called “Indian School”.
That is the REAL CRIME here.
I drive a rat. the Paint is pad though there is no rust. it is 20 years old. It is mechanically perfect though that is not apparent when it is at the gas pump or in the WalMart parking lot. I once watched a pair of guys in the parking lot going from car to carrying door handles and peering into windows. They just walked around my car without a glance I have not been tempted to upgrade or paint it. The peeling clearcoat is my security system.
Both Albuquerque and Phoenix have streets named “Indian School Road” that are major thoroughfares. I haven’t heard of any attempts by PC libs to change their names to “Native American School Road.”

My wife, who is born-on-the-reservation Mescalero Apache, and I dodged this storm and went to see my family this Christmas. My wife is a medical doctor and spent 20 years in the US Army as a trauma surgeon.
My wife is probably too conservative for FreeRepublic.
My sister (we are Scott/Irish) is a liberal school teacher and overly concerned with stupid liberals things.
My wife proudly wore her Washington Redskins sweater for Christmas.
I wore a “Braves” sweat shirt, being that is our local high school team.
The video brought tears to my eyes, just thinking about this little 3 year old girl sitting out in the dark cold night for 5 hours by herself.
Thanks God they found her.
