Throw them in jail. This is ridiculous. Read the news stories. These idiots are not wanted or welcomed by the locals. All they are doing is trying to cause trouble. Now they’ve broken into federal buildings, arrest them all, throw them in jail, once convicted, throw them into prison. Be done with them.
I’m trying to understand this story before I jump to conclusions.
Some landowners who wanted to protect their land from brushfires set a fire that happened to spread to federal land leading to arson convictions and five year sentences.
They served just over a year, got released but now the feds want them back in jail.
The men who are to report to jail, the Hammonds, intend to report to jail Monday.
The protestors say its unjust.
So they have occupied some building on federal land that isn’t even used in wintertime.
It looks like an act of civil disobedience at this point.
Are the protestors armed?
