Pretty bad here too. My efforts were lousy due to lack of energy, the volunteers are what saved me. I had volunteer tomatoes and melons among several other things. LOL

it was so hot and dry last year my garden did so so....what saved it for me was some free squash we found advertised for free on the side of the road, and craigs list that got us several containers of free concord grapes.

btw, I finally ground up my tomato odds and ends that I had dried and put in the freezer.....it really does work...
