Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortion practitioner whose gruesome abortion practices shocked the nation, continues to maintain that he is innocent.
In 2013, Gosnell was convicted of murdering three newborn babies, contributing to the death of a female patient and numerous other counts after state investigators discovered his “house of horrors†abortion practice. He later was sentenced to three consecutive life-sentences in prison for his abortion-related crimes.
In a chilling interview released in September 2015, the late-term abortionist defended his abortion record and claimed he is innocent. In the trailer for the film, 3801 Lancaster: An American Tragedy, Gosnell says, “I very strongly believe in my innocence, and there are a number of people who believe that.â€
In his latest move, last week, Gosnell asked a judge to overturn an additional 30-year sentence that he was given for illegally giving out prescription pain killers, according to Courthouse News Service.

The 74-year-old now claims in a pro se motion filed Dec. 23 that the government coerced his confession as to the pill mill, that his counsel was ineffective in investigating the coercion, and that his conviction was so overshadowed by media attention that the jury required a special instruction to ignore it, which the judge did not order.
“The character and credibility of defendant was so imbued that sentencing and due process, in both federal and state proceedings, were adversely and prejudicially affected by the media and public perception,†the 34-page motion states. “Factual evidence was outweighed by monsterous [sic] allegations.â€
Gosnell also claims that OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma concealed the abuse risks of its time-release formula, the evidence of which did not surface until January 2015.
According to a WRAL news report on the day Gosnell was sentenced:
Gosnell pleaded guilty in July after the murder trial to charges that he illegally distributed OxyContin and other painkillers.
Prosecutors say he allowed addicts and dealers to fill prescriptions that were often sold or traded on the street.
Gosnell said in lengthy remarks Monday that he was only trying to help addicts through his novel treatment program.
But U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe says he did more harm than good in the neighborhood.
It was Gosnell’s drug trade that originally took investigators to his abortion clinic. When investigators got there, they discovered numerous horrors. Some referred to Gosnell’s abortion facility as a “House of Horrors†and said it was a place where minority women were maimed and their babies were butchered. His “clinic†was filled with bloody furniture, outdated equipment, and the body parts of babies that he slaughtered.
As LifeNews previously reported, Gosnell was initially charged with eight counts of murder along with several of his staff at his abortion clinic. In fact, his wife and sister-in-law were charged for assisting in in botched abortions, practicing medicine without a license or covering up the actions of those who did. Unbelievably, the Grand Jury report estimates that Gosnell delivered hundreds of babies alive and then had their spinal cords “snipped.â€
Gosnell’s abortion center was inspected only after a federal drug raid in 2010. It was the first time the facility had been inspected in 17 years because state officials ignored complaints and failed to visit Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society for years.

I feel the same way it needs to stay right where he is.
He should never see the light of day again.
How about going a late term abortion on him!!
