I wish more young vets would join the VFW or American Legion. It would help these guys on a lot of levels. God bless them.

I wish more young vets would give their lives to Christ and find their real purpose for this life and the hereafter.

It's horrific to think of ending up with the same destination as Muslims.

VFW and the American Legion are primarily interested in getting veterans to join after they're out of the military and often for the first two or three years of a war or major conflict, those who served aren't even eligible for membership until the start and finish dates of that conflict are finalized, as happened during Desert Shield/Storm/Sabre.

There is one organization that accepts a veteran even after one day's honorable service, and either a DD-214 discharge paper or military memnbership qualifies for membership. That would be the family AMVETS post. American Veterans. All services, all wars, peacetime, stateside, overseas. No matter. All brothers and sisters with something in common.
