4. Line It Up - Shoot It Down
Now, you may think this goes against my whole line about not wanting to pour even "crap" beer down the drain. But there's a major difference between slowly pouring it down your sink and watching it explode out of the can after you have shot it with your 9mm.
Okay, so they might not let you do this at your local shooting range, but those who have the ability to do some outdoor target practice, go for it!
I typically make beef stew with Guiness but any dark beer will do. For the other crap beer it’s always good for “beer butt chicken” on either the grill or in the oven.
Cook hot dogs or brats in it, works fine.
I love having “ Crap” beer in my fridge.... Then I am not in trouble when I make “Beer Bread” :)

Beer Bread! 3 cups self-rising flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 12-oz. beer. Mix just enough to combine. It will be a sticky dough. Put in a greased loaf pan, bake for 50 minutes at 375 degrees. Pour melted butter over the top, and then bake for 5-10 minutes more to brown it up nicely.
Makes great toast!
Beer in the back of my fridge that I haven’t drank? It does not exist.
It’s good for cooking many things - just substitute it for water in a recipe.
I agree about cooking hot dogs or brats in cheap beer. YUM!
It’s good to keep some undrinkable beer around just for these purposes. Doesn’t even need to be kept cold.

I hate the taste of beer but it makes great beer batter for fish or shrimp :)
I’m a beer snob. I can be; I’ve got 12 breweries within what I consider walking distance.
That said, since the mega breweries are the vast majority of the ‘craft beer’ market and buying more small breweries every day, I’d say the mega breweries are doing just fine at turning out some very tasty brews.
I’ll stick with brews I’ve seen and sometimes helped make instead.
I always use old beer with vinegar and Old Bay to steam blue crabs.Mouth waters just thinking about it !

Even old, crappy and skunked beer is a fine feedstock to be distilled into high-quality ethanol - to be used as a motor fuel only.
