Some of Bitcoin's core developers have left the project and are now starting their separate digital currency called Decred, promoting an open governance model, which they say is missing in Bitcoin.
Few people know how Bitcoin works, and even fewer know who are the men and companies behind the cryptocurrency, and who takes the decisions.
According to a press release put out by Company 0 LLC, formed by former Bitcoin developers, there are a few external entities that fund the actual development of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, forming a power-group that is in sole command of the direction the currency takes.

Gold and silver. If you can’t hold it, you don’t own it.
Doesn’t work with property, though. Refuse to pay taxes on it and watch how fast your “ownership” disappears. Land, houses, cars, boats, interest earned on a bank account -all are not completely owned by you. Pay the taxes or lose it.
I absolutely agree with you. On the other hand, I love the experimentation going on with bitcoin, and now others.
What if commodities were currency - even unorthodox ones? For example, cloud memory storage?
The idea of a cabal of bankers, who were given a monopoly to create money and debt at will (and in turn support the progressive agenda of Fed.gov) seems more absurd every day.
No way to stop people from assigning value to anything virtual or physical. It's in our nature.
Barter...I have a full cnc manufacturing shop. What about you?
PE. Looking for a 35’+- diesel RV.

>> when we are drinking form pails of rainwater and eating field mice
What you mean ‘we’, kimosabe?
I have gold, silver, and above all ...lead. Plus I have a couple of buckets for rainwater. And 22,500 gallons of water posing as a pool in my back yard.
I should make it a day or two.
Silver, lead, brass, fish, deer, bunnies, cattle, nuts, vegetables, ten acre feet of water. For now.
And also thousands of field mice, if it comes to that. And lots of little bamboo skewers to grill ‘em on. :-)
Bitcoin and Virtual currency. Zeros on a computer screen. You can have as much “money” as you want if you control the computer. Just think, all government debt wiped away in the blink of an eye and the swipe of a key.Instant bankruptcy as well.
This will be the one technology that kills us because there just isn’t enough cash to spread around and I don’t want to be around when the masses realize it.
Is there enough tech stoners willing to risk a second virtual currency to buy their drugs off the darknet? Well I guess it would depends on if the pot stores will accept a secondary form of payment first I guess. They might even be pushing it as far as we know.
Don’t forget the Bbq sauce for them. Otherwise they get tough and gamey.
>> they get tough and gamey
Like my grandma used to say, “you’ll eat ‘em if you’re hungry enough”.
And LIKE ‘em!
Maybe they’d be better fried whole, really crisp, bones and all.
Try upper middle aged Chinese people trying to retain some value for their savings. Or Canadians who have seen the currency depreciate 20% against the dollar.
The return on Bitcoin in 2015 is about 25-30%.
,
Deep fry them in cat fat. It’s good for the lips too.
