What do you like about them?

They are innovative and original. They sound like no one else.

When they rock, it isn't with predictable power chords and riffs like AC/DC or Metallica, but with intricate musical interplay. Hard to describe.

But, someone once said that writing about music is like dancing about architecture. Here's a sample:

Bodysnatchers

House Of Cards

Optimistic

Go To Sleep

There There

I agree that OK Computer was their peak. Man what an incredible album. It’s sort of the Dark Side of the Moon of alternative rock.

Radiohead puts out some brilliant music (an acquired taste) but I can never listen to "OK Computer" again. When that album was popular, I was playing that CD on my morning commute to work. One morning, I saw an awful car wreck that just happened in my neighborhood as I started out. As I drove by, I saw the victim being loaded into an ambulance. Turned out he was a high school kid that lived less than a mile from me and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His car had rammed into a tree at high speed. As a result, the music from "OK Computer" always brings that tragic event back to me and I find it very dark and depressing.

My favorite album by them is "In Rainbows." Fortunately no fatal car crash associated with that one.

My two favorites are probably Goldfinger and The World is Not Enough. Live and let Die is great but it stands on it’s own and doesn’t recall Bond to me.

Man, that is tragic.

“In Rainbows” and “Hail to the Thief” are my favorites. It’s pretty much a tie.

I combined them into an iTunes playlist I call “Hail to the Rainbows.” Great stuff.

I dated a much younger gal about that time and sensed a coming parting of the ways when she mentioned her favorite band was Radiohead and I said Radio who?

What a tough situation to see a fatality scene like that. Worst still to then have an association with whatever happens to be playing.

Hey, not to be sick, but was it the first track Airbag? ok thats sick of me.

It was specifically Paranoid Android that was playing as I drove by the wreck but Airbag definitely reminds me of that too. That whole album throws off this weird vibe for me because of that day.
