This camera will not connect to Windows XP starter edition nor Windows XP 64 bit; 32 bit should be no problem as the drivers are already in the OS. If you have either of the two others, it will not connect as they do not make legacy drivers.

I don’t mean this in a nasty way, but first I would get off XP. After that your system will be much more stable and secure. Windows 7 home edition would be a step froward. Other than that, I would read the memory outside of the camera, a card reader or if your computer has a memory stick slot.
