It is basically the same as the reboot of Star Trek in that everything is just a little different in the new universe. When people say it feels more like the original trilogy...
I was there in 77 to see the original. I was so disappointed this new one plowed no new ground.
Was there in '77 as well. Have not seen the most recent 3, and now this new one...meh. "Lens Flare" Abrams just doesn't do it for me - I don't like the style he uses - high on effects, while the story line suffers.
Hollywood studios know it's risky to push new stories, so why not go with a "reboot." The fan base already exists, and even if it's a stinker, money will roll in.
