I learned a new word the other day from a 1940's movie
"The Wicked Lady" starring James Mason and Margaret Lockwood.

Doxy: mistress, loose woman, lover (female):
As in: "Monica Lewinsky was Bill Clinton's doxy."
I'm going to incorporate this new (really old)
word/term into my vocabulary.
I'm just going love casually & indifferently dropping it at parties.

“Doxy” is used frequently in British dramas on PBS and in Murdoch the 1890s detective series from Canada.
