This was a run-down community which had only one thing working for it....a drug zone. Money talks and she got into the middle of gang activity and tried to clean herself up....which the gang just didn’t take kindly on the idea of her exiting or knowing as much as she did.

In my experience, white girls who “go coalburner” have poor relationships with their parents, especially with their fathers.
Fathers are responsible for preparing their children for all the risks and dangers of life.
Her father failed to do that.
