MIAMI (WSVN) -- Gunfire erupted in a Miami neighborhood, Saturday afternoon, sending a teenage boy to the hospital with seven gunshot wounds, the latest in a string of shootings involving local students.
Miami Police said 30 to 40 rounds were fired at 16-year-old Jamal Pieze in the area of Northwest 39th Street and 17th Avenue in Miami, at around 2:45 p.m.
Investigators said the victim was walking down the street when the shots rang out. "Suddenly, two other black males approached and started shooting at him," said Miami Police Officer Rene Pimentel. "The victim ran."

I love that passive voice.
It’s not “a Miami teenager was shot...”. Oh no. That would mean he got shot by somebody, which would be judgmental and divisive.
No. What actually happened, see, was that you had some teenagers playing in the neighborhood, and all of a sudden “gunfire erupted.” Because of America’s uniquely perverted “gun laws,” you’ve now got a situation where gunfire can erupt anywhere.
Joe, either your son was a victim of mistaken identity or he crossed somebody the wrong way.
But seriously these days bumping in to the wrong person can get you shot. It's terrible.
We need to figure out why guns keep shooting people.
The real story here is the RACIST reporting, pure profiling #BLM should make them pay for that, two OTHER black males that is all around RACIST, this report is trying to diminish all black people, a thousand years of racism continues in America.
My father went to Jackson High pre WW II. Most of the Miami area high schools back then, Miami High, Edison, the rest were great places to learn get an education and excel.
Today the entire Miami Dade County is a third world hellhole with bars on every window that has glass and gangs ruling the night and so it seems in the day as well.
I was the only one ever actually born in Miami since everyone comes from either North or South. It didn’t work.
I left in the 70’s thinking it had gotten as bad as it could get,wow was I ever wrong.
I had relatives a few blocks from Miami Jackson High. Spent part of a summer with them. Went to a woodworking summer program there.
Many years ago.
Now? Wouldn’t drive in the area.
Born and raised in Miami.
Moved out of the drug and thug capital of the South in 1984.
Why isn’t that sexist? You know, the age of equality. How about “two people”? /sarc.
Just more of the feral youth out of the Democrat Plantation venting their fury over something they don’t even understand. Besides they’ve got their President standing up for them so, “What me worry?” Bang, Bang!
