No body damage to the Beemer - that’s good.

Might have to replace the driver’s seat...at least the bottom part.

Maybe but we can’t see the rear or the floor. :)

That metal ramp had to do some bigtime damage to the interior and a miracle the person walked away intact.

Yes, I can imagine.

In my last job, I looked at photos from major accident scenes just about every day.

A turkey did a similar thing to me...came through the windshield and landed between the two front seats. Never did get all the shattered glass out!

Secure your load!!!! Agreed. A lot of home DIY just think they are going a few blocks and don’t need to. I was hit by a 2x4x10 a guy who’d just left Home Depot and I wasn’t even in the same lane. Damage to the grill and needed a new radiator — I was very lucky.

Reminds me of following some contractor's truck with two ladders up on a rack. Fast lane and one of them started coming loose. Heavy SoCal traffic, so no one lets you move over, all I could do was start slowing down.

Sure as hell, ladder comes off and starts slithering down the freeway at 70mph with cars going all over trying to dodge it. I made it around between the median concrete barrier and the ladder.

Hated following any sort of tied down load ever since.

Probably.

You’d be surprised at the weird things that go through autos and through people, when things are happening at freeway speeds.
