Why do Progressives think Non-Citizen even have American rights? ~ Vanity

The one thing about the hornet's nest in the media that Trump kicked over the other day was the whole idea that it was somehow wrong to ask an incoming immigrant about their religious affiliation.

But I ask you all, why did all the progressives either the republicans or the democrat progressives all while and moan like stuck little piggies about this issue.

They seem to come from the perspective that the rights protected in Constitution extend to everyone everywhere in the world. This is absurd, plain outright absurd and dangerous. Their interpretation of "Protected American Rights" would then mean that we would have to invade every other country in the world to protect the rights of other country's citizens.

If the bill of right extend to everyone in the world why are we not invading Canada right now for their recent curtailing of Canadian's freedom of speech? Or invade the U.K. in order to enforce the 2nd amendment for their citizens. Or any other country in that regard???

There is no absolute protected freedom of religion for an alien, here legally or not, even within our countries borders. It also applies to freedom of speech and also the second amendment for non-citizens. However once a non-citizen goes through the process of learning about how our government is supposed to work and their rights and THEN gets sworn in as a naturalized citizen ONLY THEN do they gain the rights we citizens enjoy.

We could ban non-citizens (on Visas or in the process of immigrating legally) from owning weapons within our borders. We could even make it a lengthy process for a non-citizen immigrant who is jumping through the hoops to become a citizen to restrict it down to singe shot guns if we wanted. However once sworn in as a citizen they have all the rights as the rest of the actual citizens. Of course the progressives never seem to argue for non-citizens having 2nd amendment rights because they are animals of their agenda.

The progressives want to blur the lines on what rights we have between what rights a non-citizen has. If we reach a point to where non-citizens enjoy a majority of the rights that a citizen does, then what next? What does the the citizen have that a non-citizen have at that point? They only thing "we citizens" have at this point is an "Obligation to the State".

If all we are left in difference is our Obligations? Why remain a citizen within our own borders? What advantage is that? Being a citizen then becomes a liability... When it becomes too much of a liability what next? Civil war? People renouncing their citizenship in favor of a non-resident alien in their own country status?

It just annoys me so much because of the way they seem to think the bill or rights applies to people from other countries and martians and the progs are all huffy about it. But when it comes to citizens who are actually entitled to such rights the progressives say we have none.

MY Constitution doesn’t protect ME in another Country, nor does that countries Constituion apply to me.

Well it doesn’t even apply directly to people who are visiting here on visas either or are in the process of becoming citizens. Those rights or their protection of rights can be set by congress at CONGRESSES DISCRETION.

We could ban people here on a Visa from owning guns, free speech and freedom of religion.

There is a reason why the amendment banning slavery basically make the slaves American citizens, vs saying that rights apply to slaves now.

Here’s a simple answer. After decades, the Democrats have discovered that there is actually a Constitution since Trump said ban Muslims temporarily. All of a sudden they have discovered there is a First Amendment, and say it should be followed without question.
However, the Second Amendment, whatever that is, should be totally ignored.

Courts have maintained that Non-Citizens, when they are on U.S. soil, are granted Due Process and protections under the Bill of Rights.

Examples would be that the police cannot search a Non-Citizen’s home without a warrant and if arrested for a crime, they have the right to remain silent.

It’s not that they have “rights” per se, but a 2003 SCOTUS decision states that foreigners on US soil are accorded the shames in our justice system.

Now, I think people are saying that it’s not in our culture to ask religious question. Personally, I think it’s stupid—but not for those reason. My reason is that a terrorist will lie.

Instead we should just block people from entire countries, and require visas and background checks for visa from others.

We could accomplish the same result with a whole lot less heartache (and lots more support) if folks just thought this through a little.

Except that is not a law. Nor is it the constitution. That was written two governments before our current constitution.

But the bill of rights only obligates the federal government to protect a small number of defined rights of it's citizens; the protection of the rest are left to the states and the citizens. There is no obligation to protect the natural (God given) rights of non-citizens.

all that stupid or innocent. - I suspect he just plain does
not care if Muslim fanatics off some of us, especially if
we’re conservatives. The loss of a few of his own kind in

I was kinda blown away to find out that the new GQ guy running CANADA is letting in terrorists. They just had a big terror attack.

Of course this isn’t great news for us either sharing the same continent with these crazies.

What the heck is wrong with this people!?!

I mean even Hollande and Sweden are rethinking this.

What must you think to feel the imaginary rights of non-citizens are more important than your own people?

Crap, I remember B-52’s in the air at all time and practicing getting under our desks. What happened to concern about national security?

Progressives are communists who want a One World government
and they need to lie a lot to promote their agenda. But
they aren’t entirely lying about extending “rights” to
everyone since they want one government for the whole world.
It just won’t be the rights described in the DoI and
protected by the BoR.

The words of the Declaration of Independence declares that “all men are endowed with inalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

One of the arguments that the anti-Federalist had against the Constitution was that it did not spell out some of these inalienable rights that all men should have at that the government would recognize. The bill of rights was promised to clarify what rights the federal government would recognize to win the support of some of the anti-federalists.

Our founding fathers didn’t believe that rights were bestowed by the government, but were bestowed by God (or nature if you were Thomas Paine.) If that is the case, then those rights extend to all men, including non-citizens.

I’m not saying that we shouldn’t restrict who comes into our country, but if we believe that the government gave us, the citizens, these rights, then that same government can take those rights from us.

But the government did not give them to us. They are rights that all men have.

It’s simple: The left NEEDS THE VOTES .. so they support any illegal who comes here .. they get them all the FREE stuff they can .. and that guarantees the person will vote for them.

Eventually, the battle cry will be .. these people deserve to be able to vote.

IT’S REALLY ALL ABOUT VOTES.

And .. the cowardly GOP-e .. just won’t do anything about it.
