Ali's comments on Islamic extremism:

I am a Muslim and there is nothing Islamic about killing innocent people in Paris, San Bernardino, or anywhere else in the world. True Muslims know that the ruthless violence of so called Islamic Jihadists goes against the very tenets of our religion.

We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda. They have alienated many from learning about Islam. True Muslims know or should know that it goes against our religion to try and force Islam on anybody.

I am just posting this, because it mentions what Ali started his comment with: a criticism of the extremist interpretation of Islam, which is exactly what Trump was also talking about.

And also, the fact that Ali never even mentioned Trump by name. To hear all of the coverage, you would think he was on an anti-Trump crusade.

In fact, Ali first criticised the violence from some in his own religion.

Kudos to both Ali and Trump.

Speaking as someone who has never been accused of political correctness, I believe that our political leaders should use their position to bring understanding about the religion of Islam and clarify that these misguided murderers have perverted people's views on what Islam really is.

Then again it’s not. He (or whoever wrote this) never even mentions a name.

But the main thing I thought was important was the first two paragraphs were entirely dedicated to criticising the extremist interpretation of Islam. That seems like something which isn’t said much. At all.

That is NOT true. Virtually EVERYTHING the terrorists do is supported in the Koran.
