I am thinking of buying a Russian Molot Vepr 12 Gauge Tactical Shotgun as an antidote to Obama's rhetoric. Anyone have any experience with them?

Not that gun but here’s a thread on guns from last week for what it’s worth.

Mossberg 500/590. Been around forever, not terribly expensive. Lots of options.

Only advice I can think of: Don’t use phrases like, “as an antidote to Obama’s rhetoric”...

Buy the best your money allows. If you can afford it...Benelli 12 gauge...10 is highly recommended. Use saboted deer slugs.

Expect to die firing and hope you will dispose of a few traitors (AKA: militarized polizei) and Brownshirts as you expire.

Might be time to make a statement and buy Mossberg USA made. Always time to buy others later. Oh, and please pick up some Federal shells made in USA.

They are great.

The SGM magazines (at least the 8 rounders) also seem to work really well.

Spend some time researching how to make them 922(r) compliant, and you can cut the weld off the folding stock.

Purely a desire to own more firearms when Obama talks about gun control, nothing more.

Kinda like a Saiga 12. I had one of those with a drum magazine (before it was lost in a bonfire accident, sad really). Real hoot to shoot, brings a whole new meaning to the term “street sweeper”.

Do NOT get a shotgun with just the Pistol grip.
You NEED the buttstock for stability and aiming.

Veprs are good but they tend to eat the brass by destroying the side of the casing on ejection, so no reloading.

True. When I see a jerk yanking one of these things out of his truck, I run behind a building. They think they're really cool but people who have been around firearms all of our lives look at the ninja-wanna-be's and we know that they are not cool, but fools.
