Paul: 'If Rubio Were Doing His Job' He'd Know NSA Program Was Active Last 6 Months
Breitbart ^ | 12/6/2015 | Pam Key

Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," while discussing his condemnation of the controversial NSA data collection program, Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93% attacked his opponent Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80%for his statements about the NSA's data collection program.

Host Chuck Todd said, "Senator, respond to something Marco Rubio said. He said the following a week ago, 'We were still able to see the phone records of a potential terrorist cause, we held them, now you have to hope the phone company still has them, you have to argue with their chief counsel by the time you get access to it and find out who they've been talking to before it's too late.' You were on the forefront of trying to change this law. Any second thoughts?"

Paul said, "If Senator Rubio were doing his job and in Congress more he would know the program continues. It's been on going for the past six months to so the Paris tragedy, this tragedy happened while we were still doing bulk collection. All bulk collection. Also in France they have a program a thousand fold more invasive collecting all of the data of all of the French and yet they still weren't able to see this coming. So my question is how much liberty do we want to give up for a false sense of security. The government has investigated our program of collecting through a generalized fashion everyone's phone records in the country and they found that no terrorists case has been thwarted through this."

He has a valid point that the program is still in effect. It hasn’t stopped Rubio from taking shots at Cruz using false information.

Rubio can squeak and squawk about Hillary all he wants. There is essentially no difference between Hillary and Marco on foreign policy.

I thought Marco had recently denounced Satan, I mean Schumer.
Perhaps the Scarlet Letter of A (amnesty) cannot be erased so quickly.

In this case... he is absolutely right.

The NSA program was in full swing... and the Boston Bombings still happened... probably because we neglected to profile the two brothers who we were alerted to by the Russians.

As resources are wasted on meta-data... we get attacked.

Best case...it’s working like the TSA. They are listening in on old women’s conversations from the nursing home.
