The Mohawk Valley in central NY State was the scene of activity during the Revolutionary War. The Battle of Oriskany occurred not far from here. We have a recreated Revolutionary-era fort built in the footprints of the original. The county usually goes Republican during the Presidential elections. Plus we have the NORAD Eastern Air Defense Sector Command Center at the old Griffiss Airbase, just down the road from me. There are 3 State prisons in the vicinity, which are loaded with officers who are allowed to own, and carry on their badges, and a large number of them are hunters. My small city is situated in the foothills of the Adirondacks, which means plenty of other hunters live in the area too. I can believe that these same people would band together to fight any terrorists that chose to come here.

The person or the people doing the warning would have to be already known to me as trustworthy and reliable. Otherwise, this may be a fake warning by a turncoat American who wants us to run outside so they can more easily target and kill us by bullets, blades, EID’s or dirty bombs. In such a case, best to shelter in place and wait for a while.
Myself? I'd be unlocking the gun cabinet and loading up all the mags I have. Or I DID have before that unfortunate canoeing accident ...
I don't know that I'd run out in the street and start shooting, but I'd make sure I assessed my defensive position, and if untenable, I'd bug out. WITH whatever weapons I could scavenge from the bottom of the lake ...

I’ve got Hutaree militia in my little town and a couple of Barrett owner operators in the area as well.
They haven’t moved in yet but the new owner of the house next door will be up from Texas by Monday. The outgoing neighbors say he chose Michigan for his retirement for the hunting so I’m assuming he’ll come well equipped.
They are not coming to my County. I guarantee you that.

I implore everyone to find and read the many articles and commentaries written about a long ago event, The Sepoy Mutiny in India in 1857. There are many more people besides me who are concerned about Obama’s insistence on flooding our country with Muslims, even in the face of so much evidence that it’s not in our national interest or safety. I won’t attempt to compress the thoughts in the articles into a comment of my own. I just hope that you will all take the time to read some of them and consider how they may reflect on our current situation. Remember that the most recent terrorist attack was carried out by Muslims who were counted as friends and coworkers by their victims for years.
It is my hope that everyone who reads this thread will take the time to do that. It’s important. Then you can make your own decision about whether my suppositions are paranoid or sensible. I don’t mind. After that, I beg my Christian counterparts to read Ezekiel 33. I truly believe the same is happening here in America. I have done what was on my heart today. Bless all. Thankyou

Pure, absurd fantasy, to help us fell better by imagining our self defense in a near impossible scenario. C’mon, someone riding through your neighborhood with a loudspeaker announcing an imminent mass attack? The world doesn’t work that way. The enemy, both foriegn and domestic RELIES upon people like us being kept in the dark, and attacked by surprise. Our domestic enemies RELY on us all being hard working, law abiding, responsible persons who are responsible for our families. They know full well that we are quite unlikely to charge out of our homes firing our weapons, absent the most dire and obvious circumstances..

All those people watching the ball game and reality TV are not ideological. They vote neither conservative nor progressive. They vote based on who asks them to vote.

An old boy I knew lived in the LA area during the Watts riots. He said they blocked the streets in his neighborhood and rotated standing armed guard. No one entered their area without a good reason.
It would have to be an obvious attack to get an armed response; but in my area it would be as Admiral Yamamoto tried to warn Japan, “A RIFLE BEHIND EVERY BLADE OF GRASS”.
