I saw a black character at 5 o’clock. Harrison Ford and what’s her name are better known actors, partly because of their presence in the other Star Wars movies. It is understandable the Chinese might see them as more important to getting people to see the movie.

In the old Hollywood tradition of the best known (i.e. most important) stars getting their name in the credits in larger print (once known as 'top billing'), I think the Chinese took that to visual arts with Harrison Ford and Carrie Fischer getting larger images than the relatively new guy on the block.

Maybe they had other reasons, but that one makes sense to me.

Me too. I just thought at first the story was that he was removed altogether from the poster. In any case, his presence on the poster certainty wouldn't draw me to see the movie, as I don't even know who he is.
