In the face of college students far and wide complaining about emotional “triggers†they see and hear, annexing “safe spaces†where opposing views can’t hurt their feelings and even threatening free speech, Everett Piper is seemingly fed up with it all.
The president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University began his recent open letter to students with a story it appears he could hardly believe himself.
“This past week, I actually had a student come forward after a university chapel service and complain because he felt ‘victimized’ by a sermon on the topic of 1 Corinthians 13,†Piper explained in his letter posted to the school’s website. “It appears that this young scholar felt offended because a homily on love made him feel bad for not showing love! In his mind, the speaker was wrong for making him, and his peers, feel uncomfortable.â€
And with that, Piper apparently had enough.
“I’m not making this up,†he continued. “Our culture has actually taught our kids to be this self-absorbed and narcissistic! Any time their feelings are hurt, they are the victims! Anyone who dares challenge them and, thus, makes them ‘feel bad’ about themselves, is a ‘hater,’ a ‘bigot,’ an ‘oppressor,’ and a ‘victimizer.’â€
Piper went on to explain to students that the familiar feeling of “discomfort†when confronted with wrongdoing is called a “conscience†— and that the “goal of many a good sermon is to get you to confess your sins—not coddle you in your selfishness†or help you achieve “self-actualization.â€

Every college student and whiney liberal should memorize this.
This is the kind of crap you get when dunderheads insist “everyone’s a winner”. Anyone who has a “Participant Trophy” and thinks that’s a good idea is in for a rude awakening when it comes time to actually start working for a living rather than sucking the lifeblood out of someone else.
Let us see if I have got this right. Parents are supposed to spend the first five years of the life of a child getting them ready to enter the public education system. Then the next fifteen years are spent in retrograde operations making them suitable for recess and naps again. Right?
The participation trophy/mommy walking/waiting at the bus stop for generation is now college age.

Do they have any ethnic studies, gender studies, feminism studies, multicultural studies at that university?
If so they should terminate them immediately - for they are the sewers where this garbage emanates from.
They need to be careful,some dog might mistake them for a fire hydrant.
Today they may simply throw a pie in Ann Coulter's face, tomorrow they may just decide she needs to be lined up against a wall and shot.
A delicate little snowflake with power could easily become a deranged, bloodthirsty monstrous tyrant if it means they can eliminate anyone who may dare speak of things which make them feel uncomfortable.
Remember Bill Ayres talking of having to eliminate as many as 20 million people if they wouldn't go along with the program.

The defining characteristic of liberals is their disdain for personal responsibility, accountability, and consequences for one’s own actions.
They hate to be called on anything they did that was morally wrong. (”Don’t you judge me!”)
They are against the death penalty because they hate seeing some one being held accountable for crime.
They love abortion because people shouldn’t be “punished with a baby” for having unprotected sex.
This article is spot on; that hurt feeling you get when someone points out your wrongdoing is not their “hate”, it’s your conscience.
